August's cute girlfriend, Laura, slaved and stressed over this surprise birthday party for August. She asked if I would bake a chocolate cake and of course I was happy to. I loved being able to help and I love baking. The cake took a couple attempts because my first try was using these horrible dark nonstick pans. Once I realized that this is why all my cakes have been burning I ran out and bought some good Wilton pans. This was the trick because the second cakes were moist and delicious.
Anthony came to the party even though he had an abscessed tooth that was causing him a lot of pain and our dentist scheduled him for a root canal at his leisure. Playing Guitar Hero seemed to be a pleasant distraction for him and Lachlan and his friend Ethan enjoyed it too.
