This first picture is great because Anthony is running between houses with Lachlan under one arm and his friend, Claire, under the other. They were the most unenthusiastic trick-or-treaters ever and needed a lot of help getting themselves around. It was still fun though and they looked adorable.

Turning 3!
Well, Lachlan decided that if he was going to be a dragon for Halloween then he also wanted a dragon cake for his birthday, which is Oct 30th. This cake was especially tricky since I couldn't find a dragon mold so I was able to borrow a t-rex mold and modify it. I was really happy with how it turned out. As a side note, the wing is not made of cheese (Lachlan is convinced it was). It was just yellow melting chocolate that I molded and carved.
He didn't get many gifts this year because most of the family went in on one big gift...a Cadillac Escalade. Well, a Power Wheels Escalade anyway. He's constantly asking my friend, Amy, if he can drive her daughter's Jeep so when she found this car at Costco she called me right away and wheeled the last one around until I got there. What a good friend. Lachlan was so excited there weren't even words. We just put it in the garage and gave him the garage door opener which reavealed his brand new toy complete with a big red bow on the hood. Watching him try to drive it was the fun part. He doesn't really have the steering thing down yet, but he'll get it.
