Rock Climbing

Anthony got home from work one afternoon with a need to go rock climbing right then so we called our friends, Jim and Andrea Davis, and took to the hills.  Jim and Andrea brought their two adorable children and we had a fun afternoon of rock climbing while the kids threw rocks into a stream.  We found this neat little climbing spot right up by the "B" in Bountiful where we like to go went we want a quick climb.  Lachlan wanted to try out his new climbing shoes, which match his dad's, so Anthony made him a harness out of webbing and let him give it a try.  Don't worry everyone.  Although he's not on a rope he was never out of Anthony's reach.

On the hike back down we had a little excitement as well.  We heard a rattling sound and then the nasty little reptile slithered its way across our trail and into a small ravine.  I nearly jumped onto Andrea's back and Lachlan wanted to pet the snake.  We had to explain that not all snakes are nice.

Paris! No...Vegas!

Every year I go to Vegas with my sisters-in-law and mother-in-law.  It's our "girls-only" trip and we always have a good time.  This year we stayed at the Paris hotel, shopped, ate, shopped, ate, and shopped LOTS more.  Our second evening there we went to Cirque du Soleil's Mystere show.  It was incredible and beautiful.  Some of the things these people can do I can't imagine even coming up with the idea to do them in the first place.

The first day I laid out with the girls by the pool.  Those of you who know me well know I'm a bit of a solar-phobe.  So, while this picture is deceptive, what you can't see is my spf 70 sunscreen.
